12/5/2023 0 Comments Technobabylon 1920x1080Problem is, if you have a 16:9 monitor, it's going to be stretching things horizontally (the game was developed for 16:10). Now, if you just launch the game and point Borderless Gaming to the Technobabylon window, it'll make everything run in fullscreen. Set the scaling method to something crazy like 6x nearest neighbor filter. Go to the Technobabylon setup menu and choose Windowed mode. I use Borderless Gaming because it also scales windows bigger if it needs to. Get an application that forces windowed games into borderless windowed mode. This is pretty convoluted and there may be a better workaround but I just tested it and it works for me in Windows 10! It'll should run fullscreen at the proper aspect ratio. Now that the custom resolution is running properly, launch the game and tell Borderless Gaming to automatically run it in borderless windowed mode. This should give you black borders on the left and right of your Windows desktop. Make sure your card is set to NOT scale anything automatically. A 1080p monitor should be set to 1728x1080. So my 1440p monitor should be set to 2304x1440. To get around this, close the game, make a custom 16:10 resolution in your videocard drivers with the same height as your native resolution. if you have a 16:9 monitor, it's going to be stretching things horizontally. Problem is, this will only work perfectly if you have a 16:10 monitor. Go to Technobabylon's setup menu and choose Windowed mode. Borderless Gaming is available for a fee on Steam and it's probably free elsewhere. I think this'll work if you want to spend the time to do it:

I do this frequently for our network users at school and it can save a lot of leg work (as well as avoiding entering repetitive terminal commands).ĪRD users will want to kill processes by name rather than by PID as the process ID isn't necessarily the same each time the process is initiated. I don't see a problem with asking the wider question as to how services are started and stopped if it enables the OP to better understand the underlying mechanics of the system.Īs to why you would want to do this, one good reason would be to remotely kill errant processes on remote machines via Apple Remote Desktop. Sudo launchctl load /Library/LaunchDaemons/ist If yes, you can use the: sudo launchctl unload /Library/LaunchDaemons/ist Have you any lighthttpd file in the /Library/LaunchDaemons/*? So, any output form the command: ls /Library/LaunchDaemons | grep -i light )įrom the terminal, or simply kill the daemon from the ActivityMonitor. Remember, your now in the UNIX world, so nearly anything can be done from the command-line, but usually thats mean really much learning. You ofc can use "ps axuwww" or "top" commands from the Terminal too. What service you need start/stop? The "launchctl" command works as needed to work, ActivityMonitor too. If you don't find the wanted service in prefs, be more precise. For example, you can install precompiled MYSQL server with a preference pane, what allow you start-restart the server. Some third party dmg files with GNU stuff comes with own preference pane too. Most common services are in the "Sharing" pane" - like web-server, sshd, CD sharing and so on. So, in this case - IMHO - better to ask the specific problem, so ask how to start/stop the specific service.Īs the answer - check first System preferences. I'm wondering, why you need start/stop/restart services with launchctl? Asking because if you not an experienced OS X users you probably will screw the system "harmony" :). If mean never, mean in normal usage, of course sometimes needed use it when installing somethings from the macports - for onetime load of startup files or so. I'm using MAC much years, and never needed to use the launchctl command. :) Windows migrated users usually want "somewhat tweak" the system. It is strange to see the questions between "windows migrated" and "default mac" users. I'm sure I typed the right name of the process, I grabbed the name from the list using the command : launchctl list I tried the command: launchctl stop *servicename* and then the command launchctl start *servicename* after I hit return on keyboard after each command the terminal does not show any message so it must be successfull, but when I check out the result in Activity Monitor, it sounds that this command is useless because it has no effect on that process in Activity Monitor. I tried Activity Monitor, but it only kills processes, it does not start them. As a new comer from Windows OS, I wonder how to start/stop/restart a service on Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8 ?(it's straight forward on Windows using its Task Manager). 12/5/2023 0 Comments Roblox gamesViewed by some as a blueprint for the next generation of virtual economies where users can trade artificially scarce digital assets, Roblox has now surpassed industry titans such as Activision Blizzard and Nintendo to become the most valuable video game company in the world. When Roblox floated on the stock market in March last year, it was valued at $41bn. According to the firm’s latest figures, an average of 49.4 million users logged on to Roblox each day in November 2021. Buoyed by the Covid-19 pandemic, by the end of 2021 more than 27m games and experiences had been published on Roblox, many by children inspired by success stories such as Anna’s (5% of Roblox players publish something of their own, the company says). More than half of all US children now have a Roblox account, an astonishing statistic for a company that hardly advertises. Roblox took a 30% cut from the sale of each pair of virtual sunglasses or sports car the rest went to the original creator and seller.ĭavid Baszucki, founder and chief executive of Roblox. These items, the digital equivalent of doll’s clothes, could be bought using Robux, the platform’s digital currency, which the company currently sells at a rate of about 80 to the pound (the exchange rate varies depending on the amount bought in a transaction). Earn Serious Cash.” The company encouraged users to create and sell costumes and accessories for Roblox avatars. On its website, it adopted the slogan: “Make Anything. Roblox began to advertise itself as a way for young game-makers to make money. Initially, there was little incentive or encouragement for children to make money from their games – a feature fraught with potential legal complexities. Best of all, one’s customised avatar could be used in any game on the platform – as if Super Mario could also moonlight as the hero in FIFA Football, Call of Duty or Pac-Man, a feature that made thousands of disparate games feel like part of the same universe. But children loved the fact Roblox offered access to an endless stream of new and free experiences – a kind of YouTube for video games. The roughly hewn, blocky aesthetics and ugly text that typified most user-made games on the platform were offputting to adults. Co-designed by two engineers, David Baszucki and the late Erik Cassel, who had become millionaires in the 1990s by designing and selling physics-simulation software, Roblox was built as a playful method of teaching children the rudiments of game-making. Anna cancelled her plans to go to college.Īfter it launched in 2006 Roblox was, for a while, a relatively obscure piece of educational software. She calculated that she was on course to earn $300,000 in a year, a salary equivalent to that of a highly experienced Google programmer. At 16 her monthly income somehow exceeded her parents’ combined salaries. For Anna, success had an unfathomable, life-changing impact. Within a few months, the game had become one of the most played on Roblox. She did not sign up to make money, but during a Skype call the game-makers offered the teenager 10% of any profits the game made in the future. Flattered by their interest, Anna became the fifth member of the nascent team, contributing art, design and programming to the game. When she wasn’t at school Anna was rarely off her computer.Īs she became more proficient, Anna’s work caught the attention of some experienced users on Roblox, game-makers in their 20s who messaged her with a proposition to collaborate on a more ambitious project. Using Roblox’s in-built tools – child-friendly versions of professional software – Anna began to learn the rudiments of music composition, computer programming and 3D modelling. There was one alluring difference: Roblox hosted Anna’s tiny world online, enabling children she had never met and who maybe lived thousands of miles away from her home in Utah to visit and play. She used Roblox much like a child from a previous generation might have used cardboard boxes, marker pens and stuffed toys to build a castle or a spaceship and fill it with characters and story. Anna* was 10 when she built her first video game on Roblox, a digital platform where young people can make, share and play games together. 12/5/2023 0 Comments Front door codeIf you have trouble remembering passwords, make a tagline to help you remember them. You should write the code in any note copy or in the notes section of your device, but it must be written down somewhere. However, there are several steps you can do to remember the code. 12/5/2023 0 Comments Goop unseen sunscreen dupeThat said, plenty of TikTok derms have endorsed the Trader Joe’s formula. In an interview with the fitness magazine Shape, the dermatologist Geeta Yadav explained that while Trader Joe’s formula is “excellent,” Supergoop has the edge when it comes to unique ingredients like meadowfoam and mannitol. What do experts say about the Trader Joe’s dupe? If you still have trouble finding the TJ’s formula, another Supergoop dupe appears to have cropped up: an $11 gel sunscreen from Kroger. Has Trader Joe’s Face sunscreen been discontinued?Īlthough rumors have been swirling for months on r/TraderJoe’s, superfans have reported that the SPF 40 sunscreen is still available. Truly desperate shoppers can also try eBay, where resellers are upcharging for Trader Joe’s dupe. Because of the sunscreen’s popularity, each store is only allowed a limited supply - and thanks to articles like this one (sorry), the shortage might last a while. If not, ask when their next shipment is, be patient, and call again. It’s a fraction of the cost compared to Supergoop’s 36 price tag for the same size. If they do, ask if they can put a bottle on hold (this is how I snagged one). The latest TikTok discovery that’s gone viral is a 9 dupe for Supergoop’s popular Unseen Sunscreen. How do I find Trader Joe’s viral Daily Facial Sunscreen?Ĭall your nearest Trader Joe’s and ask if they have the sunscreen in stock. My skin - oily and slightly acne-prone - tolerated both the Trader Joe’s dupe and Supergoop’s original without producing any blemishes or extra oil. On top of how light these sunscreens are, they’re also fragrance-free, making them perfect for acne-prone and sensitive skin. Like Supergoop, this Trader Joe’s sunscreen is fragrance-free, oxybenzone-free, and octinoxate-free, and waterproof and sweat-resistant for up to 40 minutes. Other reviewers report that this unique texture means that the sunscreens work well as makeup primers, too, boosting coverage and staying power While this Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen dupe doesn’t contain as many antioxidants as Supergoop, it does contain moisturizing shea butter and antioxidant vitamin E. new trader joes sunscreen dupe for supergoop unseen dermatologistdrdrayzday reviews the new trader joes daily facial sunscreen vs supergoop unseen suns. When you first apply either sunscreen, it feels like rubbing in a lightweight, quick-to-absorb petroleum jelly rather than a cream. youtubeshorts shortsAmid all the skincare trends that hit our feeds, one piece of beauty advice endures: Wear your damn sunscreen. This is a european sunscreen and the reason why i recommend this over super goop is because this is undoubtedly going to give you better uva protection than the supergoop sunscreen. Multiple reviewers have lauded Supergoop and Trader Joe’s Daily Facial Sunscreen for being smooth and light, and these seem like apt descriptors. The first one is this: freezy, durham sunscreen, this name freezie derm velvet second, skin technology sunscreen. Thanks to the sunscreens’ translucent gel formulation, they’re both “invisible” and apply in a matte gloss, unlike most difficult-to-absorb products. The only downside I'm noticing is that the Kroger brand has orange peel oil which is technically a fragrance, and can cause irritation to sensitive skin.Supergoop and the Trader Joe’s knockoff are both excellent oil-free sunscreens, particularly for people of color who struggle to find products that don’t leave a white cast. Supergoop is clear, while Kroger has a slight peach tint to it but goes on invisible. While the active ingredients are the same, the each company uses is different. The Kroger brand also has higher percentages of the chemical filters used. The products are different in that: Trader Joes Daily Facial Sunscreen costs 8.99 while Supergoops product will set you back 36. The differences I noticed are the following: The Supergoop brand is water resistant for 40 min whereas the Kroger brand is water resistant for 80 min. However I found this dupe at Kroger (Ralph's) today! Has anyone tried it? The Supergoop one is $38 for 1.7 oz, whereas this one was $12.99 for 3 oz. I liked it so much I just ordered 2 more tubes. Because of the silicone texture I think it is a product you will either love or hate. I recently tried the Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen and love it! It doesn't burn my eyes, goes on clear, and is weightless. 12/5/2023 0 Comments Librecad floor planIf it is drawn upwards the parallel lines appear to the right of the original line.Īlthough the problem appears with both version 2.2.0 rc2 and version 2.1.3 of LibreCAD. If the original vertical line is drawn downwards the parallel lines appear the left. The side of original line on which the parallels appear depends on the direction in which the original line is drawn. The suggests that the original line is correctly located but the direction of approach is not being correctly detected. However, the parallel lines are only displayed on one side of the original line, irrespective of the side from which the original line is approached. The parallel function works when the original line is horizontal or vertical. When the Parallel function is performing correctly, parallel lines appear on one or other side of the original line, depending on the side from which the original line is approached. So the built-in trackpad is not the problem. This made no difference to the problem whatsoever. Firstly, I plugged a mouse into the USB port. I have been able to narrow down the range of possibilities for this problem. The Mac Mini is quite old and High Siera is the last version on the Mac OS which is compatible with it and downgrading the MacBook Air to High Siera would be an horrendous challenge. Unfortunately, I have no way of determining whether this behaviour is related to the hardware or to the operating system. However, on my MacBook Air as well as only having parallel lines appear when the original line is either horizontal or vertical, the parallel lines will only appear on one side of the original line. I believe that this is the correct behaviour. Whereas on the Mac Mini, when I select the Parallel function and move the cursor across a line I get parallel lines appearing on ether side of the original line depending on the side from which I approach the original line. I get the same strange behaviour with both versions of LibreCAD. rc2 of LibreCAD on my own MacBook Air running Big Sur. I then compared Version 2.1.3 with Version 2.2. On that system the parallel function works. How should I be troubleshooting the problem?įirstly, I installed LibraCAD on my son's old Mac Mini which is running High Siera. However, I don't get a line on the construction layer. There is no error message in the command box. However, when I try to draw parallels, using the parallel command, nothing appears. I now need to draw two lines parallel to one side. On the construction layer I have been able to draw two adjacent sides, neither of which are parallel to the X or Y axis. There is also an easement runs along one of the parallel sides. In the case of the site plan that I am trying to draw up, two sides of the block are parallel (but the other two are not). Added to that if one tries to do something and is not able to produce the result that is wanted it is difficult to determine whether the instructions have not been carried out correctly or they have been but the results is not visible because of the scale at which one is working. For basic functions this is easy but once one gets to more complicated functions the difficulty increases. So working out what one needs to do involves interpreting between what one would do on a PC using an earlier version of LC and what one needs to do on a Macintosh using the latest version of LC. My first problem is that such manuals as exist seem to be written for PC versions of LC and are for earlier versions of LC. I am using LibreCAD 2.2 rl 2 on a Macintosh laptop running Big Sur. What I am trying to do first is to draw the boundary of the house block. So the area is quite large in relation to the final drawing. The site plan is for a house block which is an odd shape but fits in a space of approximately 145 feet by 90 feet. I am trying to use LibreCAD to draw a site plan but I am finding is extremely frustrating. 12/5/2023 0 Comments Massage holiday gift certificatesLong story short, if you're paying with a credit card, select "Credit Card", fill in the information, and move on to Step 9. 01% which this applies to, if you wish to pay for your gift certificate WITH a DIFFERENT gift certificate, select "Gift Certificate / Card / Series" and you will be asked to enter the 908.-number of the gift certificate you would like to pay with.
